Cottage descriptions

Each property is inspected and is known personally to us. The description tells you as much as possible about the accommodation offered, all are very different in types of construction, style and equipment. The sleeping capacity is shown beside each property. Cots and High Chairs are generally available at no extra charge. Bed linen and duvets are NOT supplied for cots.

Bed linen

Most cottages provide all bed linen and towels, others supply linen but not towels - this will be stated at the end of each `services' section. All beds have a duvet, two pillows and an under blanket. For those properties where linen is available as an extra, you can either bring your own or we can supply you at a cost of £7 per person per week. Beds will be made up for your arrival and for a stay of longer than a week, a second set will be given to you.

Housekeeper's deposit

In some properties a Householders Deposit is required. This is a deposit to cover the cost of electricity and to replace any broken or damaged items. Details of the deposit required are sent out with the travel directions. The balance of any deposit is refunded to you by the owner, by mail after your holiday. Where housekeeper deposits are required, it will be stated clearly in the individual property’s service description.

Holidays taken at Christmas and New Year may be subject to a damage deposit – this is paid to Discover the Cotswolds by card the week prior to the start of your holiday and refunded as soon as possible after your departure.

Heating

Many of our cottages have open fires and / or full central heating. Details are shown in each 'services' section.

Arrival and departure

Except for Short Breaks and weekends lets, all holidays start and finish on a Saturday (unless stated). Your holiday accommodation will be ready from 4 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 AM on the day of departure.

Discover The Cotswolds tries to do everything possible to give you a successful holiday. If for any reason you have a problem with your accommodation please contact the owner or their caretaker straight away. If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction, please contact us by telephone initially and then in writing no later than 5 days after the commencement of the holiday let. We regret it is impossible for us to investigate a complaint after your holiday has ended, when other holiday makers occupy the accommodation.
